| life is goin good. still workin at target. Mostly been workin and spendin time with my family lately. Not much time for much else. My lil boy is gettin so big. He took his first step this past week. I cant believe how big hes gettin. soon he will be runnin around. Started playin shows again. really want to get back on my feet in that sence. its been a while since ive had any motivation for anything to do with music but now that ive gotten over abandonment, we'll see what happens. Playin a music festival up in canton labor day weekend. should be fun. gettin paid good for it. Ill also be playin a bank of america benefit show. opportunities just keep popping. wish me luck.

| oho what a week. didn't really do a damn thing.
i am playing a show tomorrow nite. geoff is going to join on the fiddle and joam is going to accompany on the acoustic. it is going to be at the rose city chili cook off starting around 7-ish. i will be playing for a couple hours......so come enjoy songs and some chili, if you would like......bring beer if you want....i know i will. if you think you'll be cold....drink whiskey or allow my voice to warm you with the bittersweet melodies of some sad songs.
the cookoff will be held on north 69 on the tyler trade day grounds (next to the cheap self-serve gas station).

| so i was checking out the music channels on our cable box........and discovered that i enjoyed more of the music on the 'adult alternative' then the 'alternative' channel. damn it! am i getting that old?
excited about the show tonite in canton. i haven't had a 'day of the show' feeling for quite awhile now. far too long. should be plenty of people there despite sbsw goin' on.
daniel thomas hall, ruth, ben, and johnny......good to see you last nite. love you. we need to party ETX style.......hell yes.
